Overview

The Servicing Administration Analyst is responsible for reviewing servicing portfolio data and results to evaluate performance trends, process improvement opportunities as well as enhancement or development of new servicing reports or processes to improve the service delivery across all business channels, including servicing vendors and rating agencies for the portfolios serviced by Planet. This position will also assist the VP – Servicing Administration to ensure that loans are managed in accordance with investor, insurer, regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures and performance results are properly and accurately reported to all stakeholders. The Servicing Administration Analyst will also support a portion of the In-Line QA reviews to assure that they are performed in a manner that assures all the requirements and performance reporting are being met and gaps are being remediated to assure go forward improvement.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs servicing data and report reviews to evaluate, analyze, and assess performance in each line of business against policies, procedures, pipeline disciplines and industry standards. Creates and coordinates management level performance summaries for distribution to senior and executive management.
  • Gather, investigate, and review performance information by conducting research and/or testing as necessary and perform servicing process reviews and analysis as identified to determine pipeline process improvement or reporting enhancements in an effort to develop or refine the pipeline management disciplines necessary to improve service delivery results.
  • Structures and executes comprehensive quality assurance and test strategies for policies and procedures within the MSP, BITB and LoanSphere systems and related third party system-to-system interfaces, as directed. The strategies include, but are not limited to, review of data and documentation for accuracy and consistency, systems utilization analysis, regulatory compliance assessment, pipeline efficiency and investor program requirements, as applicable.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external business partners to report performance results for immediate corrective action.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelors in Finance preferred, but mortgage servicing experience with college courses in finance would be acceptable.
  • Minimum of five (5) years related technical work experience within mortgage banking, portfolio analysis, pipeline management, default servicing and/or mortgage servicing preferred. Other combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to define, refine and analyze data, preferably servicing data, as well as fully understand business processes and pipeline management to support the development of performance metrics and the required reporting within the Servicing Division, both in the Default Servicing and Servicing Operations Departments.
  • Strong organizational and process management skills – must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and able to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with others and independently as the situation requires.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills and some VISIO process workflow experience.
