The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the FP&A manager as well as Finance and Accounting departments. This person will responsible for calculating and reporting compensation and commissions on a bi-weekly basis.  In this role they will track, calculate, review, and analyze compensations plans and commissions.  The Financial Analyst will work with various departments such as accounting, treasury, finance, fulfillment, sales and human resources to resolve issues.  They will be responsible for maintaining and updating various weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as well as ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with the accounting and finance to develop, track, calculate, review, and report on bi-monthly compensation and commissions.
  • Work with the FP&A manager to transition the financial reporting to SaaS systems such as Adaptive Insights.
  • Support financial reporting process for the FP&A department which includes review, tracking and analysis of various financial measures and activities while working with various support personnel across the company.
  • Ad hoc projects and analysis as requested.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Accounting or Finance required
  • 2 to 5 years of financial analysis experience required
  • Mortgage industry a plus
  • Strong written, verbal skills with proven data analysis skills
  • Requires advanced PC skills including: Database applications, Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills, SaaS applications. Knowledge of SQL and Access a plus
  • High level of statistical and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with various internal and external operations team members in multiple locations
  • Ability to collaborate with other non -finance people on an ongoing basis and take initiative to go above and beyond to resolve issues to achieve the end goal
  • A  highly motivated self-starter, eager to learn and has Interest in identifying unusual items, researching them, and obtaining resolution
  • Must be able to multi-task; prioritize open issues to complete task on time
  • Must be comfortable working in a small Finance department in a growing company, willing to take on special projects as they arise
