The Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) is responsible for assisting and supporting one or more Mortgage Loan Originators (MLO) within a branch or sales office. Primary duties include following up on items as requested by the MLO. Such duties include, but are not limited to, contacting customers who have a loan in process, to provide updates or gather any additional information as needed. As the LOA becomes more experienced, the Company strongly encourages that the LOA pursue their MLO license, which would enable them to participate in and/or act on behalf of the MLO of record on any loan transactions.
Note: while it is not a requirement that LOAs be licensed, under no circumstances shall non-licensed LOAs participate in or act on behalf of the MLO in any activities that require a current and active MLO license.
